Tessa Blanchard Released from IMPACT Wrestling
Impact Wrestling has officially announced that they are cutting ties with their current IMPACT World Champion Tessa Blanchard.
Apparently the champion has been absent for most of the lockdown due to health concerns. She’s been away in Mexico with her fiancee DAGA.
Here’s what IMPACT released:
Impact Wrestling confirmed that it has terminated its relationship with Tessa Blanchard and stripped her of the Impact World Championship.
Tessa Blanchard was supposed to do a match to defend the IMPACT World Championship at Rebellion back in April but she released a statement at that time apologizing to fans that she could not attend. In this match it was supposed to a be a threeway match with Eddie Edwards and Michael Elgin.
IMPACT announced that Blanchard would be at their next pay-per-view Slammiversary on July 18. This time she was scheduled in a Five-way match which had implications already. This is due to Elgin receiving a suspension from sexual abuse allegations during the #SpeakingOut movement.
She was also expected to send over shoots for promos done in her place at the beginning of June but she didn’t send that either. It’s been said that both Blanchard and IMPACT Wrestling promotions are not seeing eye-to-eye especially when she was told that she had to return to taping and lose the World title.
