  • After a night battling robots across the globe, Billy Batson finds out not everyone lovessuperheroes when one of his teachers unleashes a lecture on the ethics of unchecked power and privilege. It’ll take more than just the wisdom of Solomon for the teen hero to figure this one out.

It looks like part of the problem here is that the original creative team i.e. Geoff Johns and Dale Eaglesham ran into several delays for the book. Maybe this was the problem could be the reason why DC Comics decided to end the current run.

The book was a fun book to be honest. It’s got a lot of fun moments and brought not just Billy Batson and his alter ego Captain Marvel Shazam to new places; it also gave more depth to Billy’s family aka the new Marvel family. We get to see why Dr Sivana and Mr. Mind were such a powerful team together and we’re even seeing glimpses of how shady the Wizard and his crew were back in the day.

Check out the supposed cover for issue # 13, were Superboy Prime was supposed to join the fray.

What do you guys think? I feel a bit sad that this is ending. Really wished they could have at least made a way to finish the current story arc and set Superboy Prime into the world once more.
