Inuyasha Getting a Sequel starring his and Sesshomaru’s daughter called Hanyou no Yashahime: Sengoku Otogi Soushi
A sequel series to Inuyasha has been announced called Hanyou no Yashahime: Sengoku Otogi Soushi and the biggest surprise is that it would star both Inuyasha and Sesshomaru’s daughters.
The right hand text translates to “Sesshomaru has daughters.”. The left text translates to “Time passed since the stories of Inuyasha, now the daughters of the brothers will open the door to a new legend.”
Check out the artwork/ visual designs below which was posted on Twitter.
Here’s the thing. They released a visual or two but we don’t know right now whether this would be a new anime series like the Inuyasha series or a slew of films. We do know that the main character designs were made by series creator Rumiko Takahashi. Also returning for the project is Kaoru Wada who will be doing music for the series.
In case this is your first time running into the Inuyasha fandom here’s a quick recap. The manga appeared on Weekly Shonen Sunday which ran from November 1996 all the way to June 2008. From the manga we also have two anime series for TV which was produced by Sunrise.
The anime’s first TV run had a total of 167 episodes which ran on TV from October 2000 to September 2004. Then there was the special Inuyasha: The Final Act which had 26 episodes and ran from October 2009 and March 2010.
