The Surviving X-Men in Powers of X # 1

Major spoilers for this week’s Powers of X # 1 by Jonathan Hickman and RB Silva.

So in this issue, we see Jonathan Hickman’s time jumping shenanigans at play once more. Remember he did a story like this in both Avengers and Fantastic Four bavk when he wrote those books. And he’s doing it in style in his X-Men run.

In the story we meet the X-Men a thousand years from the events unfolding in House of X and I find them a tad different from what we are used to see. In this issue, we meet a cloned hybrid called Rasputin as well as a red clone version of Nightcrawler.

Later in the book as both characters make their way into Asteroid K, we get to see the other surviving X-Men.

Wolverine is now leading the outfit together with a Superman-esque Xorn, a green costumed Magneto and a royalty looking Groot. Wolverine here also looks to have retained his new costume which is a hybrid of his different costumes namely his Astonishing X-Men costume and his brown-and-tan costume. Magneto’s costume here reminds me a lot of Polaris. Why is he wearing green, guess we’ll find out soon enough.
