Baron Zemo Returns in Falcon and Winter Soldier with his trademark mask

Daniel Bruhl will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Helmut Zemo for the upcoming Disney+ series Falcon and Winter Soldier starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan.

And since I was kind of in a vacation during SDCC 2019 weekend, I was not able to write anything about Falcon and Winter Soldier who made its presence felt with the main stars appearing in the Marvel Studios panel at Hall H. Marvel Studios also released the official logo for the series…

And now let’s take a look at Daniel Bruhl’s Zemo who seemingly escapes from his confinement in between Civil War and the world post-Endgame.

Not only do we have a more intimidating looking Daniel Bruhl as Colonel Helmut Zemo, we also get to see him wearing a mask, not entirely the one that we’re used to seeing in the comic books but hey, its a start. We also don’t know how long the dude will live because Marvel Studios sure loves to kill their villains.

Zemo and Bucky both in the books and movie have some bad blood between the two of them. In the MCU, Zemo was responsible for framing Bucky to get to both Captain America and Iron Man in Captain America: Civil War. He led Bucky, Steve and Tony to the hidden Russian compound where they held the other Super Soldiers and where we end up seeing that epic fight between Cap and Tony.

In the comic books, Zemo is out for revenge on Bucky for seemingly killing the original Baron Zemo. And the villain continually became a thorn on Bucky’s side.
