Lalamove Riders Called out by Netizen
Facebook user Elbert Cuenca recently shared a bad experience with Lalamove riders which has been getting traction on social media.
Here’s what he posted on Facebook:
Lalamove scam alert!
Lalamove rider arrives and informs you he’s just arrived at your building.
While you’re on the way down, he leaves and a fake rider takes his place.
Fake rider, not wearing a Lalamove uniform but has a Lalamove bag, will pretend he’s your rider and will take your package.
After the the fake rider leaves, real rider comes back and calls to say he’s been waiting.
You then realize you’ve been duped.
This happened to my staff just recently.
The MO was caught on CCTV, and it was pretty obvious.
The incident was reported to Lalamove along with the footage. We are still waiting for them to respond.
I don’t expect Lalamove to do anything about it, and I can’t pin the blame on them. There was some negligence on the part of my staff.
Good thing what was lost wasn’t of significant value. It was food stuff meant for our other branch. I just hope they enjoy the prime rib.

To be honest, this id the first time I have heard of this MO. Still there’s a first time for everything.
At the moment, Lalamove has yet to respond and we really hope they respond to this story.
On the flipside, a little grain of salt won’t hurt either. Just keep an open mind when it comes to these trending stories on social media.
