This Photo Proves that Balloons released during funerals are bad for the environment

This trending photo on Facebook proves that those balloons we release during wakes and funerals are doing more damage than just getting stuck on wires and causing blackouts.

The photo shared by Bien Salaza from Leyte shows a deflated balloon making its way to a beach.

It was obviously used during a burial ceremony where relatives of the deceased would release a bunch of these balloons during the actual burial of their relatives.

This proves that this new trend is deadly and harmful especially for marine life. I remember reading a story about whales ingesting so much plastic as reported by biologists who did an autopsy on these sea creatures.
