Robert Pattinson Finally Confirmed as Batman

Last week we had rumors that former Twilight star Robert Pattinson was in the running to play the new Batman for Matt Reeves’ The Batman movie.

Now it looks like Warner Bros Pictures has made their decision and have gone for the actor against another notable Hollywood star, Nicholas Hoult.

The untitled Batman movie is slated for release June 25, 2021 and will be helmed by Reeves who found success with the last two Planet of the Apes films.

Variety first broke the story about Pattinson’s casting as Bruce Wayne aka Batman. The Internet split into two with one half disliking the casting and referencing Pattinson’s time as Edward Cullen for the film adaptation of Twilight.

The other half have praised the casting saying that it was a good call. They also reference other good movies which showed Pattinson’s acting ability.

Either way, it’s the same ordeal that Ben Affleck initially went through when he was cast as an older Batman for Zack Synder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League.
