The Avengers: Endgame Artbook Just Mentioned Adam Warlock
This is important news. The Avengers: Endgame artbook just referenced Adam Warlock in one of the pages.
The page referenced Adam Warlock as the golden child and showed a photo of Warlock’s cradle which we saw at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.
There are of course other cool pages for the artbook. Here’s one goong back to Infinity War.
So why is this impprtant? First off, Adam Warlock was a big player in the original Infinity Gauntlet. He organized the heroes that stormed Thanos’ floating island of death and even played a part in the second wave of attack which led the heroes to victory.
Obviously, the MCU version did not show Adam Warlock. He was never even planned to join. So why are they showing off or even mentioning Warlock now? Sure Marvel Studios may have plans for the cosmic character but why too late?
Maybe they could be shaping a bigger threat than Thanos after the events of Endgame. Maybe the defeat of Thanos could open the door for bigger threats that Earth’s Mightiest Heroes could never overcome by themselves.
Its also interesting to note that the return of Adam Warlock has something to do with the return of James Gunn for Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3. Maybe they scrapped plans for Warlock when they fired Gunn and then brought those plans back after rehiring James Gunn for the project.
We’ll see in the next few years how this will play out.
In the meantime, the Avengers: Endgame artbook is now available for pre-order online.
