War of the Realms Cover Pays Tribute to Secret Wars

Marvel continues to hype up War of the Realms in a number of ways. Pinoys obviously are likely to pick up the series and the tie-ups thanks to the announcement of new Pinay character Wave. But for comic book geeks out there, there’s more. They recently revealed a new cover that pays direct homage to the classic cover for the Secret Wars miniseries from the 80s.

The new War of the Realms cover was done by Mike McKone and features the modern look for most of the Avengers and a few X-Men characters.

It’s definitely a cool cover with some changes here and there like Thor being in the forefront instead of Captain America. Photon (Monica Rambeau) is also replaced by Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel for the War of the Realms cover.
