You Can Now Switch Teams with Pokemon Go Medallion Update

If you think you could fare better in a different team in Pokemon Go then Niantic may just have released the best update yet. It’s called the Pokemon Go Medallion update and with it you get to move to a different team of your choice!

The new team change update will start 1:00pm PST on February 26. What it does is give trainers like you a chance to change teams once a year. You can get the Team Medallion for just 1,000 PokeCoins from any shop. According to sources, when you have successfully purchased the Team Medallion, you’ll find it in your bag. Switching teams will then occur when you activate the medallion. A quick guide will also be available for trainers who want to go through with the switch.

Any of your Pokémon that are in Gyms when you change teams will be returned with no PokéCoins earned once it’s defeated. You also can’t battle your own Pokémon, so if you return to a Gym one of your Pokémon is defending, your Pokémon will be returned to you with no PokéCoins earned.
