Hideo Itami requests Release from WWE, Reverts Back to KENTA
Hideo Itami was one of the superstars I was really rooting to go big in both the NXT and the WWE. But that didn’t seem like the case for the talented wrestler as he’s been dealt with one bad break after another.
According to Fightful, the superstar has officially requested his release from the WWE after his brief run on 205 Live and before that NXT. Additional reports say that he will be getting his release together with a 90-day no-compete clause.
The Reason
Itami’s departure from the WWE is said to be because of his unhappiness with how he is being booked. He’s also reportedly unhappy with WWE creatives too. The superstar had weak bookings in recent time and even before that fans felt that he was underutilized. Also, Itami isn’t the first wrestler to have stated their frustration over the WWE. Others like The Revival and even Dean Ambrose has made it clear that they are fed up with WWE’s strategies.
Revert to Kenta
And lastly, it looks like Itami has reverted back to his old monicker of Kenta on Twitter.
THANK YOU.

Kenta, of course, is his real name; Kenta Kobayashi. That means a significant deal because when he joined the WWE he switched his name to Hideo Itami…
And if you want to see how promising this guy should have been, here’s his fight with Daniel Bryan in NOAH.
