Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Reportedly Getting Rebooted Again by Paramount

Variety reports that there’s another Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot coming along the way and its by the same people who did the last two movies including our favorite director Michael Bay!

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS

In a recent article published by Syfy, its revealed by Platinum Dunes producers Andrew Form and Brad Fuller  that they will be working on a new movie.

Form was quoted saying this:

Jack Ryan Season 2 [on Amazon] just wrapped, the sequel of A Quiet Place, and we’re doing a reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at Paramount…That is looking like production by the end of the year.

Weirdly enough, the producers were trying to connect this to “A Quiet Place” rather than Bumblebee, which was more apt. But that’s them. Or maybe thats the reason why these adaptations bomb, because they have a different understanding of the characters. Here’s the quote:

The thing about the Turtles, it’s the same thing about A Quiet Place. It’s about a family and [the audience] being invested in a family. They are both family stories about the family sticking together and supporting one another.

But I guess for this one, their hearts are in the right place. The Turtles really are about family. If your family’s all about kicking ass and taking names and enjoying pizza.

Anyway, if we take these guys word for it, we could be seeing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot by 2020 or 2021. And will be released directly by Paramount Pictures and not through Platinum Dunes, which released botht the first TMNT movie and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows which also starred Megan Fox and Stephen Amell of Arrow.
