YouTube Allowing Non-Skippable Ads for Content Creators
Heads up YouTube content creators! Google is giving YT content creators the ability to put in non-skippable ads for their videos.
Expect the update to happen this week until the next with creators getting a notification that they can now run non-skippable ads on their content. It was announced Creator Insider channel with the goal of providing more ways to make money for content creator.
If you, as a creator, choose to enable non-skippable ads then the update will roll through your previously published videos as well as new content.
Previously, non-skippable ads were only available to a select number of creators. Now they will be available to everyone in the YouTube Partner Program.
Other Things to Expect
The new rollout will also allow people to add or remove non-skippable ads in bulk.
YouTube creators can also track audience engagement and revenue specifically from videos that contain non-skippable ads.
What About the YouTube Viewers?
To avoid the drop on viewership, YouTube will be lessening the time of non-skippable ads. Previously we had to sit through 30 seconds of ads but for the latest rollout, we will have to endure for only 20 seconds.
