MoneyGram Idol Awards Handed Over for the Second Time
During a ceremony at the Solaire Resort,the second annual MoneyGram Idol Award honoured twelve OFW families and their relatives who work tirelessly in other countries to send money back home.
The twelve main prize winners received 30,000 Philippine pesos in cash, and an all-expense-paid trip to Manila where they will spend three days with their loved ones at a luxury resort. In addition, 30 lucky winners won 5,000 Philippine Pesos in cash.
The awards were handed over during a special evening of celebration attended by MoneyGram’s key regional leaders and Filipino star and MoneyGram’s brand ambassador, Robin Padilla.
“We are here for the OFWs not only to enable them send to money to their families back home in a convenient and fast manner but we also want to bring them closer to their relatives. We established the MoneyGram Idol Awards to recognize the everyday struggles of families of 12 million Filipinos living and working abroad,” said Yogesh Sangle, MoneyGram’s head of Asia Pacific, Middle East and South Asia who handed over awards at the gala ceremony.
The winners of the 2018 MoneyGram Idol Awards are: Michelle Gomez andEmilia Moncadaof Cavite, RemieMagkalas andRose Cabilenof Laguna, Jade Colaljo of Iligan City, Aldrich Pablo of Cabanatuan City, Cecille Acantalicio of Camarines Sur, Ryan Deyto of Caloocan City, JophilCabahug of Cebu, and Marilyn Ayson, MerlineFaigmanioand Mary Jane Toling of Quezon City who will be given the opportunity to bring their OFW-loved one to Manila for a short reunion with the family.
