Hugh Jackman Cast as Gordon Freeman
The Wolverine and the Greatest Showman has found a new calling. That’s right. Hugh Jackman has been cast as Half Life protagonist Gordon Freeman for the upcoming Half Life movie.
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that the long stagnating project has pushed through with Jackman taking the lead role.
Edge of Tomorrow’s director Doug Liman has also signed to helm the movie.
He says:
“I’ve always wanted to tell the Half Life story to a younger audience. The world that Half Life built and the gaming industry that flourished after the game’s release is a testament of how important this game is in our culture.”
The Half Life movie is slated for release July 2020 with production starting as early as January 2019.
