Asus Zenfone Max Review – Pros
- Lightweight as hell. You may even forget that you even have that smartphone in your pocket from time to time.
- Vivid colors in such a small screen. Even better is the option to make necessary changes on the colors when you want it.
- The battery life for this smartphone is the prime reason we’re even doing this Zenfone Max review in the first place.
- Performance is A-OK for both gaming and normal uses.
- Decent to above-average photo output for both indoors and outdoors.
Asus Zenfone Max Review – Negative
- The charger that comes along with the Zenfone 4 Max seems weak. Could have been better.
- Camera clunks out from time to time.
- Non-replaceable battery
Zenfone Max Review – fine tune
So where do I start with this Asus Zenfone Max review?
Ah right.
The Zenfone Max is a blogger’s dream come true. It’s also a must-have for the busy traveler. Because you don’t have to worry too much about the phone’s juice and focus on the other stuff like enjoying the view or talking to people.
Asus did well in working out a way to put in a huge battery capacity on such a tightly packed phone.
Design
In a nutshell, the Zenfone Max follows all the current design inputs for Asus smartphones. It does not stand out in that aspect, which is totally fine by the way.
Screen uses a Corning Gorilla Glass so its going to take a lot before you even leave a scratch on it.
On the right side of the smartphone you can find the power button as well as the volume keys.
On the left side, you can find the SIM card and memory card tray and only that.
Front-bottom will feature the home button as well as the back icon. The fingerprint scanner is also decent although if you have big thumbs.
Go up and you’ll see the 8 megapixel front camera which kinda lives up the hype.
The back has a plastic finish but its not so shabby. From a distance, it looks good actually.
Camera
As I mentioned earlier, I liked the Zenfone 4 Max’s camera especially when its being used for outdoor and indoor shots (yes including the low light settings)
Here are a few indoor shots I took over the weekend for both Sticker Con MNL and PWR – Path of Gold 2018.
Above are shots with natural light @ Bayanihan Center for Sticker Con MNL.
Now, check out the photos from Path of Gold which was dimly lit.
As you can see, the phone can talk the talk and walk the walk. Did I mention that I was also connected to the Internet via wifi while covering this event?
The smartphone is a tank packed in a semi-petite form. The screen is also promising and you get to push the envelope to the next level in terms of visuals. Be sure to enjoy watching your favorite TV series or Netflix movies with the smartphone’s screen.
Overall, there’s very little negative I can write in this Zenfone 4 Max review about the smartphone. It’s everything a guy or gal with an active lifestyle needs. More importantly it will liberate you from wires.
