MoneyGram and GCash Partner Up to Bring Better Financial Service to Pinoys
This month, MoneyGram has officially partnered up with GCash, Mynt’s micropayment and mobile wallet, to help improve financial inclusion for Pinoys.
This new system allows thousands of GCash users to receive money from more than 200 countries and territories on their mobile wallet to be used for purchasing goods and services online.

30 million active smartphone owners plus the growing Internet penetration in the country. The partnership between the two is also a powerful strategy that further MoneyGram’s goal of giving consumers more digital money transfer options.
This new setup will also greatly benefit OFWs and their families; as it makes it easy to send and receive remittance.

The direct impact though would be GCash users – 1 million active users- providing a convenient solution for the users who live in remote areas and those who don’t have an easy access to the financial system. MoneyGram’s services allow them to receive money directly to their mobile wallet and use it immediately to pay for goods and services – can buy load, pay bills, scan-to-pay using QR codes at the mall and more.
