SHINee Member Jonghyun Passed Away due to Suicide
Breaking news, K-Pop group SHINee just lost a member with the tragic passing of Jonghyun.
Koreaboo ran a story that says that the popstar’s sister has confirmed his passing due to self-inflicted harm via carbon monoxide poisoning. Here’s what the Gangnam authorities have released so far.
On December 18, 2017 at 4:42PM Jonghyun’s older sister reported to Police that her brother was about to commit suicide. We went to his residence in Chungdam and discovered that he had attempted to commit suicide with brown coal briquettes lit inside a frying pan.
Emergency responders were with us at the time so we rushed him to the Konkuk University Hospital in a state of cardiac arrest.
According to initial reports, Jonghyun sent an SMS to his sister and as soon as she got the text, she immediately called the police for help. More details when they emerge.

Shinee is a South Korean boy group formed by S.M. Entertainment in 2008. The group is composed of four members: Onew, Key, Minho and Taemin.
