First Look at New Robin Hood Movie starring Taron Egerton as Robin Hood

Here’s a few images from the upcoming Robin Hood movie starring Taron Egerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service) as Robin Hood and Jamie Foxx as Little John.

So it looks like every half a decade or a decade to the most we’ll be getting an updated movie of classic literary characters. Last year was that Guy Ritchie dud King Arthur and for next year, we’ll be revisiting Robin Hood. The new movie will be produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and directed by Otto Bathurst.

The tl;dr for the synopsis is that Robin and Little John (Jamie Foxx) start an uprising against a corrupt and unjust English ruler with the Sheriff of Nottingham being the same guy who choked on his aspirations *cough cough* Ben Mendelsohn *cough cough*.

Robin Hood will star Taron Egerton, Jamie Foxx, Ben Mendelsohn, Jamie Dornan as Will Scarlet and Eve Hewson as Maid Marion. Opens in theaters September 2018.
