X-Men: Red Full Roster Revealed
Marvel has released the X-Men: Red full roster of characters handpicked by Jean Grey herself for what she deems an “oncoming storm”.
X-Men: Red will be coming February 2018 with creative team composed of Tom Taylor (All New Wolverine) and Mahmud Asrar (Wolverine and the X-Men) and will pick up after whatever happens in December’s Phoenix Resurrection: The Return of Jean Grey.
X-Men: Red Full Roster
The team will include:
- Jean Grey
- Nightcrawler
- Gentle
- Namor
- Wolverine
- Trinary
- Gabby
And here’s the official synopsis for the surprise 3rd X-Men book…
When one of the most dangerous X-Men villains returns to wreak havoc, Jean’s dreams of peace are threatened…and order starts to turn to chaos. It’s mutant against mutant this February in an all-new adventure that will have X-fans on the edge of their seats, as Jean Grey’s team takes on the Marvel Universe – only in X-MEN RED!
Gabby, Trinary and Gentle are new X-Men in this setup. IIRC the last time I saw Gentle was back in Messiah CompleX or was that an X-Men anthology book during the 198 to Hope Summers era of X-Men stories. Nightcrawler has been a member of the X-Men even after he came back from the dead. Namor was a member of the X-Men during the Dark Reign saga, where he went and betrayed Norman Osborn.
Marvel gradually slowly teased the X-Men: Red full roster and here’s how they peeled away the layers…
