Kyrie Irving Traded to Boston Celtics; NBA 2K18 Responds
Kyrie Irving is currently a hot item thanks to his natural prowess and his selection as the cover athlete for NBA 2K18 but today, he officially leaves the Cleveland Cavaliers for more opportunities with the Boston Celtics.
Kyrie Irving has been officially traded to the Boston Celtics in exchange for point guard Isaiah Thomas, center Ante Zizic, forward Jae Crowder plus Brooklyn’s 2018 first-round draft pick spot.
Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge:
Kyrie is one of the best scorers in the NBA. He has proven that on the biggest stage, the NBA Finals, the last three years. He’s been an NBA Champion, an Olympic Gold Medalist, and a four-time All-Star. For all he’s accomplished, we think his best years are ahead of him.
Over with NBA 2K18, the game’s official Twitter account had only one word for the fresh trade that happened Tuesday evening…

It was recently hyped that Irving will be the cover star for the NBA game. They even had all the bells and whistles hyping the announcement awhile back. While this may be a bit iffy to look at, I’m confident (as well as the publishers) that NBA 2K18 would still make a killing in sales when it becomes available in the market September 19, 2017 for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC!
