SDCC 2017 – Michelle Pfeiffer Cast as Janet Van Dyne for ANT-MAN AND THE WASP

Looks like Marvel is playing DC’s game in casting former superheroes and villains in new roles for their respective cinematic universe as Michelle Pfeiffer  has been officially cast as Janet Van Dyne in Marvel’s ANT-MAN AND THE WASP during the Marvel Studios panel at SDCC 2017.

Of course we all know how deeply rooted Pfeiffer is in comic book movies as she had been a “crush” on CBM fanboys when she appeared as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman in Tim Burton’s Batman Returns starring opposite Michael Keaton who is making waves in his performance as Adrian Toomes aka Vulture in Spider-Man Homecoming.

This time though, she’ll be playing the role of the Hope Van Dyne’s missing mother, Janet Van Dyne in ANT-MAN AND THE WASP.

Here’s how she “died” in the first ANT-MAN movie.

Peyton Reed returns to direct ANT-MAN AND THE WASP with Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Pena and more. Opens July 6, 2018
