Grab Philippines Celebrates 5th Anniversary with Recognition of Best Drivers, Riders and Employees

Grab Philippines, Southeast Asia’s premiere ride-hailing platform celebrates it’s fifth anniversary by throwing a great event at Le Pavilion yesterday, June 14. And instead of the usual blowout bash, they chose to honor exemplary riders, drivers and employees.

Grab greenlit (no pun intended) the first ever Grab Green Light Awards, their very own way of giving back. A total of 20 individuals were honored by Grab Philippines during the event. 15 drivers, 5 riders and 5 employees.

A special set of award was also given to five loyal Grab passengers who has been using the Grab app for travel since launching in the country five years ago.

Grab Philippines country head Brian Cu says:

We are deeply grateful for the awesome five years. Grab has helped move our cities with the support of our peers, passengers, partners and employees. The past five years have been hard work for everyone and seeing how we have evolved as a company and as an industry is the ultimate reward.

Grab Philippines also prepared lot of surprises for riders during this special month-long celebration. Passengers who booked Grabcars were treated to specially wrapped vehicles that carried free Grab vouchers.

Since it’s inception in 2012, Grab Philippines have operated from solely in Metro Manila to what it is now in 2017 with eight additional cities including the newest city, Pampanga. Its also grown to have spinoff services such as Grab Taxi, Grab Share and Grab Express.
