Check out the new visual key artwork for the upcoming Mazinger Z anime called Gekijōban Mazinger Z or Mazinger Z The Movie. 

The film will be made to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the original Mazinger Z manga and the TV anime. Reports are coming in that Toei will be producing the project as well as distribute the film.

They also plan to have a stage event at Tokyo’s AnimeJapan 2017 event on March 26th.

Go Nagai’s original Mazinger Z manga was first published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump back in 1972. The Mazinger Z anime was release around the time and ran for approximately 92 episodes.
