Fox Greenlits X-Men TV Series!
While there’s no plan for another X-Men movie anytime this year and the next, we can definitely expect an X-Men TV series from FOX.
Variety and a gaggle of other entertainment websites reports that FOX has officially greenlit a new X-Men series which will be directed by none other than X-Men: Days of Future Past and X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer.
The studio is already dead set in delivering the project hot on the heels of the currently-being-hyped LEGION series for FX.
Here’s what Variety had to say about the plot for this untitled X-Men project.
The project will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
Even better is the fact that the untitled X-Men FOX project has been ordered to follow what’s already been established in the movies as well as whatever they are cooking over with the LEGION project.
Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory are also on board to executive produce the Fox pilot.
