CES 2017: Slow Clap for Razer for Revealing Project Valerie, the Laptop Version of Cerberus
In Greek Mythology, Cerberus was a three-headed dog that guards the gates of hades. It had been one of the more bad-ass mythical creatures and was even the last labor for Hercules. Razer takes a leaf from Cerberus by unveiling Project Valerie.
When they revealed this gaming laptop during CES 2017, I literally did a slow clap for this device because holy crap, that truly is the gaming laptop version of Cerberus.
This concept was built on Razer’s 7″ Razer Blade Pro. It’s definitely a treat for gamers who want to do more while gaming and for the busy bee who wants see everything while playing hard.
What makes the Razer Project Valerie is the fact that it folds neatly just like conventional laptops. It’ll look like this in “normal” mode.
Since this is Razer, you automatically expect something powerful in terms of graphics. And they sure do the trick putting in the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card. Do you need more exposition for this? Thought so.
Valerie, while powerful, is still svelte. She comes in a 1.5″ thick frame and weighs under 12 pounds. Razer also brought in their Ultra-Low Profile mechanical keyboard plus the unique vapor chamber thermal management from it’s ‘dad’ the Razer Blade Pro.
