Green Lantern Meets Space Ghost and more in 4 One-Shot DC/Hanna-Barbera Annuals

If you remember the names Johnny Quest, Captain Planet, Fred Flintstone, or even Space Ghost, it might mean two things. Either ye old folk hooked you up with Cable during the early 90’s or you’ve been watching it with your kids every weekend or whenever you’re at home. Congratulations, possible millennial reader. You’re already old to stay up and watch Adult Swim.

But aside from that fact that you’re part of the working class and taking care of kiddos of your own, such nostalgic names that belong to the Hanna Barbera that became a part of your childhood one way or another. I’m guessing you’ve even watched the Flinstones movie with your parents or the Scoobie Doo movie with your high school or even possibly, college friends.

And if you were also into comic books eons ago but managed to get back to the hobby thanks to Marvel or DC’s expensive marketing strategy that is their cinematic universe, most of these Hanna-Barbera titles recently became new titles to hit the stacks along with them.

Scooby Doo and “Those meddling kids” fighting off creatures that are fueled by fear, Wacky Race Land met Death race and Mad Max, and the Flintstones showing their version of humanity’s origin story. Every title were enhanced and updated, every narrative having more depth and added awesome factor all to be topped off with the new design and art that serves as the cherry on top of this new wave of classic goodies.

Thanks to DC, we’ll have more of them in the months to come. And we thought they were done.

DC just made the unthinkable and announced a batch of annuals that includes an incoming wave of crossover of their greatest heroes and the beloved characters from Hanna-Barbera.
