Capcom Just Might Announce Marvel vs Capcom 4
There might be a possible big reveal for the Marvel Vs. Capcom 4 at the Capcom Cup tournament during the Playstation Experience this weekend.
According to Polygon’s sources a possible 2017 release is in order. But there will be a lack of mutants and other characters as Marvel will showcase the Cinematic Universe. Favorites such as Magneto, Sentinel and Wolverine are out of the picture. So expect more from Iron Man, Spiderman and Hulk to be there.
This is a big move that was dictated by multiple reasons such as Capcom’s licenses with Marvel expired last 2013 which made DLCs for the Marvel vs Capcom games get pulled out from Sony’s Playstation Network and Microsoft’s Xbox Live online stores, despite the fans’ requests of retaining them. Another would be movie licenses that Marvel is currently trying to re-acquire such as the Fantastic Four and X-men.
With that said, future DLCs might include familiar faces coming straight from the Avengers side of things but this might depend on Capcom’s plans and Marvel’s considerations. After all, Marvel is kinda banking on a refreshed X-Men brand with the announcement yesterday of X-Men Gold and X-Men Blue
But then again, this Marvel vs Capcom 4 news bit is still a rumor and you might want to hold on to that grain of salt.
