First Assassin’s Creed Clip Now Online
20th Century Fox has released the first Assassin’s Creed clip to promote the film starring Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard.
Fassbender plays the role of Callum Lynch in the present and an Assassin from the Spanish Inquisition named Aguilar.
The clip shows Sophia Rikkin (Marion Cotillard) forcing Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) into the device called the Animus. The technological marvel allows Callum to relive the “genetic memories” of his long-dead ancestor, Aguilar de Nerha.
The Animus was developed by Abstergo industries as part of the Animus Project and is a key artifact from the Assassin’s Creed video games, factoring heavily into the secret war between the Assassins and the Templars.
In Assassin’s Creed, through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.
Assassin’s Creed opens January 2017 in the Philippines from Twentieth Century Fox Philippines and Warner Bros. Pictures Philippines
