A Rebel Angel’s Love Story: Fallen PH Premiere

Last Tuesday, 9th of November 2016, is a very important event in the Philippine cinema world as Fallen, based on the world-renowned novel written by Lauren Kate, first premiered globally in Cinema 8 of SM Megamall! To top it all of, 2 of the actors were there, namely, the gorgeous Addison Timlin as the story’s main protagonist Lucinda “Luce” Price, and Harrison Gilbertson as the mysterious Cameron “Cam” Briel.

So what’s the story about? It’s a spin-off retelling of the War of Angels: “When Lucifer decided to wage war on God, the Angels were split into 2 factions, those who chose to protect The Almighty and the Heavens, and those who chose to defy him and to be banished into chaos. However, there was this one Angel who defied all of these, picking neither side and believed in what we call “Love”. Together with other Angels who failed to choose a side, they were banished from the Heavens and cursed to walk among humans here on Earth, until the Rebel Angel finally chooses his side. These Angels were known as The Fallen.”

And so on, so forth. It was a great movie to watch, not my kind of thing really, but what got my attention was how they gave justice to Angels, specifically to their wings. In flicks such as these, one mainly sees an Angel with the usual protocol of Eagle wings, etc. This flick however, depicted Angels having strands of Light at their back, slowly taking form as wings. That my friends, is one heck of an ingenious idea!

Fallen is now showing on all Philippine cinemas! If you’re a fan of Twilight, you’ll definitely love this flick! Proudly brought to you by Pioneer Films!

Writer’s Note: I wasn’t really feeling enthusiastic about watching this at first, wasn’t really a fan of chick-flicks. But before watching it on the big screen, I decided to take a quick CR break and boom! I was side by side with the Aussie actor himself, Harrison Gilbertson. I was obliged to watch it then haha!
