Here’s Samsung’s Official Statement for the Galaxy Note7
Samsung has released their official statement regarding the problems with the Samsung Galaxy Note7 and their impending global recall of the product.
“Samsung is committed to producing the highest quality products and we take every incident report from our valued customers very seriously. In response to recently reported cases of the new Galaxy Note7, we conducted a thorough investigation and found a battery cell issue.
“To date (as of September 1) there have been 35 cases that have been reported globally and we are currently conducting a thorough inspection with our suppliers to identify possible affected batteries in the market. However, because our customers’ safety is an absolute priority at Samsung, we have stopped sales of the Galaxy Note7.
“For customers who already have Galaxy Note7 devices, we will voluntarily replace their current device with a new one over the coming weeks. We will provide further details on the process and timing of replacement as soon as possible.
“We acknowledge the inconvenience this may cause in the market but this is to ensure that Samsung continues to deliver the highest quality products to our customers. We are working closely with our partners to ensure the replacement experience is as convenient and efficient as possible.”

Its actually great that Samsung went ahead and did this statement and ordered the recall of the Galaxy Note7. I mean, sure the product is great and all but if it has the potential to actually hurt people, better to cut losses than suffer a worser fate.
Good luck with Samsung on their road to getting back the market though as this could be seen, business wise, as a costly error. The money alone they spent promoting the product globally, its going to be a deep gash in their pockets.
Lastly I hope this would be the last time (for a while anyway) that Samsung makes a mess like this. I love their product and will support them till kingdom come but safety always comes first.
