Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Brings Style, Comfort and Silence
Last week I was invited for a special and intimate media session at the Egghead Audiohub at the Shangrila Mall in Mandaluyong where a select few tech and lifestyle bloggers got the chance to try out the latest products from Sennheiser.
Being that the event was in Egghead Audio, I came in expecting THE perfect place to test out high-end headphones and audio equipment and boy was I right on the money. Rico Cheng, Egghead Audiohub’s big boss prides himself in setting up the right structure for optimum experience whenever they play music in the store.
And the entire setup was just wow.
But more on that some other time because for this post, we talk about the new Sennheiser products I got to test out, what makes them worth dropping serious money on and just why these headphones are on the top of the foodchain.
Sennheiser Momentum 2.0
Our first order of business for the session is the Sennheiser Momentum 2.0. These headphones come in two variants and maintain the same sensibilities as the first version. The frame is made of durable steel material and can be twisted all around with no sign of wear or deformation.
The leather that protects the entire frame is also made of real cow leather and not synthetic leather we usually see in order brands…
If you think the aesthetics were awesome, wait till you see what happens when you push this button…
The next generation of Momentum headphones (both for the wireless and regular) also comes with a one-push noise cancellation function. But unlike those “noise cancelling” headphones that don’t do shit, our demo involved boiler room noises, Adele and crystal clear music. That’s right, the Momentum is legit as ever and it like reduced the external noise coming in by 50 to 60%.
The Momentum 2.0 will come in two versions, in-ear and over-the-ear headphones.
Be sure to check back next week for more Sennheiser products
