Sharp Showcases the Sharp Aquos 507SH for Japan’s Android One Campaign
Japan is also trying to catch up with the Android One campaign and they have revealed a new addition to the smartphone in the form of the Sharp Aquos 507SH!
The Sharp Aquos 507SH is a mid-range phone and is also the first ever Android One. GSMArena even thinks that its a good, budget-friendly alternative to the pricier Nexus 5X.
Some of the specs that it sports include a 5-inch screen, an IGZO LCD with 720p resolution. It’s also protected with rounded 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4. It measures 142 x 71 x 8.8mm and weighs 135g. The 507SH is also water resistant and dust resistant with an IP58 rating that can go just beyond 1m for as long as 30 minutes.
It’s Quick Charge enabled to boot (though it’s sold with a regular 1A charger).
The Sharp Aquos 507SH will also ship with an Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with the capability to move to Android Nougat. It will also feature a Snapdragon 617 with 2GB of RAM – but clean Android tends to run great even on modest hardware. There’s 16GB of storage and a microSD slot.
