Commander Steel Added to DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Season 2
Another hero has been added to the growing list of heroes appearing on the DC CW-verse. This time its for Legends of Tomorrow and this time its Commander Steel.
I’ll have to admit though, Citizen Steel was pretty badass when he was introduced in Geoff Johns’ Justice Society of America run particularly how he needs to raise all his nephews and nieces after some metahuman Nazis killed most of the family during their family reunion.
While its not official yet we get the inkling as we already have the actor who will play Dr. Nate Heywood, the grandson of the original Commander Steel. He will be played by Nick Zano.
This could be a different iteration all together. For all we know this is a new generation of JSA. Remember, there’s also an Hourman running around this reality.
So while new heroes join the team, some members are not returning. Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) has been reported as one of the first season cast members who wont be returning for season 2 of Legends of Tomorrow.
Marc Guggenheim states:
The composition of the team is going to change; there will be some new faces on the Waverider. The season finale planted some very significant flags in terms of what the new concept of the show will be in season 2. The team’s mission statement for season 2 is more compelling than season 1, and at the same time, it is more streamlined. It’s a little bit higher concept, a very clean notion that will allow the show to do things that it does best.
