The Weasleys – Ron, Hermione and Rose for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

We get another look at Ron Weasley’s family for the upcoming stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

From this photo, we meet Ron Weasley (Paul Thornley), Hermione Granger Weasley (Noma Dumezweni) and their daughter Rose Granger-Weasley (Cherrelle Skeete).

As mentiond earlier, this is a WEST END PLAY and not a movie. Notice the lack of Daniel Radcliffe? Also a grand spanking for readers who bitch that this play’s Hermione is African-American. There’s nothing wrong with that. That’s J.K. Rowling’s call and we can’t do anything about that.

Here’s the synopsis for the play which will begin its run on 30th of July.

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband, and father of three school-age children.

While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

Now for the rest of the photos for the Weasley cast…

Additional stuff for you Potter-heads out there, Rowling has stated that Ron is “in his forties isn’t very different from Ron in his teens, except that his feet hurt a bit more.”

While his daughter Rose is described as being “like her mother, but more secure, more grounded. She was born to wizards and knows her place in the world. Cherrelle plays her perfectly: bossy but deeply lovable.”
