Unlettered Preview for Civil War II # 1

Marvel was gracious enough to release an unlettered preview for their upcoming “event” book Civil War II. Check out these non-spoilery pages after the jump.

Personally, I’m “meh” for the book. It’s clearer different from the mega-hit that Mark Millar and Steve McNiven years ago. But hey. anything to bring in new readers and will keep the industry afloat.

Anyway, check out the various covers and the actual art by Dave Marquez for Civil War II.

And now for the actual interior art.

Who or what could’ve taken down the current “main” Avengers team? And where the hell is The Vision? Clearly they are outnumbered.

(Below) one of the things I find promising about Civil War II is the potential for big battles such as this. But I’ve grown up to not just look for that in a title or a book. I need substance; which was clearly provided back in the day with Millar and McNiven’s original story.

Still as an admitted sucker for good art, I’m really going “wow” over these unlettered pages for CW2.

You know what this lacks?

X-Men! They need X-Men punching these assholes. I see a couple of X-Men though but Marvel’s merry mutants are solely outnumbered here.

Moving on…

Actually, that was the last preview page. So what do I think. Is it worth getting? I’m saying yes with a hint of no.
