All The DC Comics Rebirth Titles Revealed in WonderCon ’16 including New Batman and Superman Books

It’s safe to say that DC Comics owned WonderCon ’16 with the amount of announcements they’ve made for their books. I can also positively say that I might be fervently picking DC books again when the “Rebirth” begins.

Everything starts with the 80 page one shot book DC Universe Rebirth written by DC’s Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns with interior art by Gary Frank and Ethan Van Sciver. This book is scheduled to be released May 25.

Action Comics

Action Comics will return to its original numbering with creative team Dan Jurgens and drawn by Patrick Zircher, Tyler Kirkham, and Stephen Segovia. The book is scheduled to be released twice a month.

This is going to be the story of Superman, Lois and Jon that we have seen in Lois & Clark [the story Jurgens has been writing about the pre-New 52 Superman] coming to Metropolis. But prior to that, Lex Luthor has declared himself the Super-Man of Metropolis. And that’s kind of what gets Superman there.

Superman

Superman will be returning with a Pre-New 52 vibe; the book will be written by Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason. Art by Patrick Gleason and Doug Mahnke. Ships June 2016

New Superman

New Superman will feature a Chinese Superman who gets Clark’s powers plus the S-Shield gets imbued in his chest. The character is named Kenji Kong.

Supergirl

Book will pit Kara against her father who is now the Cyborg Superman as opposed to being formerly Hank Henshaw.

Superwoman
