Learn More About The Division in a New Launch Trailer

I find myself spending an hour or two watching streams of players testing out The Division and although I’m familiar with the story, it still needs a bit of explaining. Good thing we’ve got a brand new launch trailer for the game.

We have to thank Ubisoft for this and I’m already waiting for the release. Didn’t pre-order though. Maybe I should. Anyway, trailer’s below:

The Division is touted as an online RPG-shooter that focuses on an elite group of tactical agents tapped to do various assignments primary of which is to find the source of the virus that brought society down. Players need to team up and work together with other players online to complete missions, events and other things.

I’ve heard that there would be no microtransactions that’ll happen in the game which is good. But maybe they’ll find ways to milk gamers money in some form or another. Ubisoft has also confirmed that the “Phoenix Credits”, the game’s currency can’t be purchased with real money. So there’s that.

“In Tom Clancy’s The Division, there is no in-game currency that you can buy with real-world money. There will be DLC packs available through first party stores containing customization items, but these are optional and limited to items that have no influence on gameplay. An example of this are themed outfits for the agent’s customization slots.”

The game looks gorgeous on the PC with Nvidia even putting their brand on some of the gameplay videos that have come out…

The Division is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on March 8.
