How to Get to Moalboal Beach in Cebu (POV Style)
Its been awhile since I did some travelling but let me give you my latest pa-uso, a POV-ish look at how to get to Moalboal Beach in Cebu.
As recommended by friends, colleagues and travel blogging senpais, we picked out Moalboal beach as a destination, because, hey, not everyday you go on an almost week long vacation.
There are several ways to get to Moalboal but my wife and I decided to go there by bus.
Starting point would be the airport, Mactan airport. I suggest you soak up the view and the take a taxi to Mandaue.
You can tell the driver to go directly to the Southern Bus Terminal in Cebu City or you can do a stopover somewhere to grab some grub.
When you get to the station, also want to point out that the taxi can go in and drop you inside but you’ll need to pay an extra 10 bucks as entrance. No dice.
Look for or ask for the CERES or LIBRANDO buses bound for Moalboal.
Word of caution. No aircon buses to Moalboal and the fare (pasahe) is Php 107. They say its a 3 hour bus ride but we consumed 4 hours.
Get your ass ready for a long and still enjoyable ride.
When you reach Moalboal proper you can conveniently take a trike to two places. PANAGSAMA BEACH or WHITE SAND BEACH.
At this point in time you’ve pretty much arrived. Now its all up to you where you want to go or which resort you want to spend.
Also I found out that Oslob is two hours out from Moalboal, thats if you want to go and swim with whale sharks.
To cap this off let me copy-paste the commute guide to Moalboal by car in case you want to roll out in style.
By Car
The most convenient way to get to Moalboal is to let us arrange your transfers. We teamed up with a reliable rent-a-car service at the aiport, accredited by the Department of Tourism.
Stay tuned for more travel entries as I tour around Cebu.
