Ultraman is Coming to Marvel Comics!

Its officially been revealed that Ultraman will be coming to Marvel Comics as an ongoing series!

You read that right, Tsubaraya Productions, the company who owns the rights and license to Ultraman has agreed to let Marvel go and do comic books after such a long time away from the mainstream western audience’s eye.

Here’s a brief statement from Marvel’s Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski:

Like Marvel, Ultraman captivated generations by telling spectacular stories grounded in the real world, and it continues to be a beloved classic through its television shows, movies, toys, games, comics, and more. We are so thrilled to introduce new chapters to the Ultraman Multiverse next year.

No creative team has been attached to the project but Marvel is aiming for the release of new Ultraman content by 2020! Fingers crossed, this would be good. The last time the West got a taste of Ultraman was back when Netflix produced an anime series which was a critical success.
