Rumor: Rey is Han Solo’s Daughter with Qira

Here’s a Star Wars rumor in line with the upcoming release of Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker and it involves Rey’s parentage.

According to rumors, Rey could Han Solo’s daughter with lost love Qi’ra. This makes her Force sensitive due to the Solo bloodline and while at the same time making her, by default, an important figure in the galaxy.

MakingStarWars insinuated that there are so many points that lead to Rey being Han Solo’s daughter and Kylo Ren’s half sister. Here’s a quote:

Rey is Han Solo’s daughter. But she is not Leia Organa’s daughter–and therefore is not a Skywalker. Leia and Han were estranged when she began training with Luke. When she did not complete that training she returned to Han, but Ben Solo knew of the affair (although not necessarily about Rey), and began acting out, and this was when he was sent to Luke.

In The Last Jedi, Rey’ s parentage was dismissed in a key segment of the film where Rey was having a moment of clarity. In that scene, Rey’s parents were referred to as “nobody’s”.

If this is true, then this could also explain why Rey and Kylo Ren feel a strong connection to each other while at the same time antagonize each other, like two siblings. Also like yin and yang.

In the Solo movie, we meet Han Solo’s first love, Qi’ra played by Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke. She and Alden Ehrenreich’s young Han Solo went on an adventure which ended with the two being more estranged with Solo getting the Millennium Falcon while Qi’ra becomes the new leader of Black Sun.

With so much time, who knows when Han and Qi’ra reconnected. Also there’s also some truth to the fact that Jedi students are required to leave their loved ones, putting the estrangement issue to light.
