Immortal Hulk Preview Teases Return of Rick Jones

Classic character Rick Jones is being teased as another character returning in some form to Bruce Banner’s life in Immortal Hulk.

In the preview for the upcoming issue, Immortal Hulk # 16, we see that somebody got hold of Rick Jones’ corpse after his execution at the hands of HYDRA in Secret Empire.

Apparently Hulk’s enemies in Shadow Base have taken the corpse of Rick Jones and bathed him with some kind of gamma blood which comes from a monstrous looking heart.

The last page for the preview page shows Jones suddenly gasping for air after being exposed to this substance.

The book has seen a lot of things happen to both Banner and Hulk. It’s another change of dynamics as Banner is now being treated by the Hulk as a son. And as a son, he wants all the best for Bruce even if that meant the eradication of humans on Earth.

Also on the subject of Rick Jones, a lot has happened to him. He went from being a sidekick to a supporting character and even became a powered being called A-Bomb.

Sometime later The Hulk went on a quest to depower all the Gamma creatures in the world and that included Rick…

And since he lost his abilities to become a super powered hero. He turned himself into a hacker with some gamma residue that makes him super smart. Around this time he helped out Sam Wilson who was Captain America at the time.

But when HYDRA Cap took over, he was killed by firing squad in the Secret Empire series.

And thus, here we are, Immortal Hulk # 16 looks to bring back Rick Jones again.
