LG Electronics Philippines Celebrates the Launch of Netflix K-Drama KINGDOM

The new year means new ways to enjoy whether its through new electronics or new shows. LG Electronics Philippines recently celebrated the launch of the new Netflix series KINGDOM.

Kingdom is the new K-Drama/ horror series exclusively streaming on Netflix. It brings two things together that surprisingly gels well: ancient Korean monarchy and the threat of zombie infestation.

The series which is now streaming, is set in Korea’s ancient Joseon Period and follows the story of the crown prince on a suicide mission to investigate the zombie outbreak and stop it before it completely spreads throughout the Kingdom.

To commemorate the launch Netflix Philippines collaborated for a special event at the Korean Cultural Center in Bonifacio Global City. LG Philippines also brought in some star power to the event. The guest list included LA Tenorio, James Deakin, Gil Cuerva, Nicole Cordoves and Dani Barreto.

Basically we got to see Kingdom in LG’s newest TV, the OLED B8 4K TV. There were also a couple of zombie cosplayers who went around while guests were having awesome Korean dishes.

Flash fact did you know that the lead character for Kingdom is Prince Gian in Princess Hours aka Ju Ji-Hoon?

Guests also had the chance to have their photo taken at the Hanbok photo wall.

The B8 4K OLED TV also has some several impressive features and specs. It has a 55 inch 4K Cinema HDR display. It also has the “Smart Brain a7 Intelligent Processor” to deliver a seamless user experience. To cap it all off, the B8 4K OLED TV also features Dolby Atmos. It’s current srp is Php 89,991. Netflix is also giving away 6 months free subscription with every purchase.
