First Unofficial Look at X-Men: Dark Phoenix Logo

Today, we get a fairly decent look at the logo for the upcoming X-Men movie X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

You can’t see it from this angle which was revealed in this year’s Cinemacon , but the logo still follows traditional X-Men aesthetics. It’s reportedly got the X-Men circle along with the text fonts with the only difference being Dark Phoenix taking over front and center.

This isn’t the first time the X-Men franchise had dabbled into the story of the Phoenix. The 90s cartoon series had a Jean Grey story arc where she becomes the Phoenix.

That was kinda faithful to the original story arc.

Then there’s also the movie version where Jean (Famke Jannsen) becomes the host for the Phoenix at the end of X2 and emerges as the Dark Phoenix in X3. It’s in the third movie where she ends up dying again at the hands of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.

Now we get a redo with the new cast led by James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and even Jessica Chastain.

Hopefully we get to see something new in X-Men: Dark Phoenix that doesn’t disappoint like how X-Men: Apocalypse left most fans.
