Welcome Back Wolverine – Marvel Legacy # 1 Spoilers
So we all know already that Wolverine is officially back but when I posted the story on Monday, we didn’t have context. Now we do. Here’s the first salvo for Marvel Legacy # 1 spoilers.
The way Marvel Legacy # 1 was structured seems to have been copied from DC Rebirth # 1. Granted though, a lot of comic book events have this type of style. I can forgive that though because freaking Wolverine is back.
This thread starts with Loki striking a deal with some frost giants to take a mysterious box from a SHIELD storage facility that’s about to be closed down because SHIELD fucked up big time during Secret Empire.
Back on Earth, a bunch of SHIELD troopers prepare to collect old artifacts and they mentioned that they got spooked because a beer truck was following them for a bit. The beer truck is important.
The frosties attack and before they can do huge damages, the trio of Captain America (Sam Wilson), Thor (Jane Foster) and Iron Heart (Riri Williams) conveniently show up to beat the bad guys. Also the mysterious box seems to be able to evade most of the people in the warehouse.
The Frost Giants stage a retreat and have one of them escape with the box.
This is where it gets interesting. The aforementioned beer truck finally reaches the warehouse and encounters the escaping troll/giant.
The Frost Giant then threatens to gut the driver…
The driver steps out…
And we hear a familiar SNIKT.
In another part of the world, Cabada to be exact, O5 Jean Grey visits a desolate cabin while talking about her destiny as the Phoenix. She also has some words about death and rebirth and laughs when she finds that Wolverine’s “adamantium tomb” has broken apart with Logan already gone.
Back in the States, we see the frost giant dead and the box opened.
This plot ends with Wolverine in his civilian uniform holding an Infinity Gem or infinity stone.
Where is this headed? Who sprang out Logan from his tomb? Why is he even interested in an Infinity Stone to begin with?
