A group of geeks and cosplayers coming together to spread the message of peace is something you don’t see everyday. That’s why I’m showing my support even in a small way with this movement called A HERO’S CALL which currently is operating as a Facebook.

In a masterstroke of genius, the movement is gearing towards making noise today, 21st of September which happens to be the International Day of Peace AND the anniversary of Ferdinand Marcos’ declaration of Martial Law.

Professional actress and model Maronne Cruz, put out the call to the cosplay and geek community as a means to show that there are still heroes in this world. The online series of photos were taken by Matt Lee.

Cruz says that the main goal for the set of photos is to tell the world that villains are very reals and its time for us to stand up against it. She adds that it doesn’t even matter who you are or what you’re into. What matters is that you do something through your hobbies or passion.

She also adds that whatever it is that drives you, use it to be able to influence and empower other people to have a care and make a stand.

Definitely something that’s not only worth sharing but also worth adding into your daily life.
