New Mutants Logo Cements Claim that its a Horror Movie

New Mutants director Josh Boone went on Instagram the other day to share a look at the clapper they use for the upcoming film which will feature a bunch of uh- new mutants operating within the Fox-Verse.

Here’s the photo that Boone shared on his Instagram account.

See that blood spatter?

That’s a clear indicator that while the New Mutants movie will be about kids who will be the future X-Men, it’s also largely rooted on the horror genre. Remember this is all possible thanks to Anya Taylor Joy (Split) being part of this film as Magik aka Ilyana Rasputin aka Colossus’ little sister.

At this point in time though, its too early to speculate which of the various enemies the New Mutants encountered in the comic books could terrorize them in their live-action debut. It’s cool to speculate so we’ll do that in a separate post.
