Dark Nights: Metal # 1 was such an interesting ride from Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. It also opens the door for fans to see evil versions of Batman from another universe. The most interesting though happens to be Devastator, the Doomsday-Batman hybrid teases for weeks already by DC Comics.

The Dark Nights one-shot will be written by Frank Tieri with art by Tony S. Daniel. The art I’m showing you below though comes from cover artist Jason Fabok.

The Devastator looks to be more menacing and more powerful than Doomsday. If you think Superman had a hard time with either Batman and Doomsday, imagine the pain he’ll be experiencing when he goes up against a creature that’s a combination of both.  And that’s exactly what’s going to happen as DC Comics plans to have Devastator here join up with other “Dark Leaguers” like The Red Death, Dawnbreaker and the Batman who Laughs, The Drowned and Murder Machine and take on the Justice League.
