Details for Avengers Academy Defenders
With the Armor Wars event done and over with TinyCo has slowly peeled back the curtains for their next event, Avengers Academy Defenders!
The event which is supposed to roll out updates as early as this afternoon and not later than tomorrow morning will be based on Netflix’s Defenders which features the four main heroes of the Netflix-Marvel universe namely Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist.
Here’s the first visual they’ll be using for the Avengers Academy Defenders event.

In an interview with Marvel.com, Allen Warner, Lead Narrative Designer at TinyCo had dropped a lot of hints on what’s to come for Avengers Academy Defenders namely the return of familiar characters and Madame Gao and the Hand rearing their ugly head with the power vaccuum left by Wilson Fisk in the game’s narrative.
Locations
Warner has stated that there will be familiar locations that will be returning to the game for this event and its all tied to all the Netflix Marvel series, mainly from Daredevil, like Josies, the Nelson-Murdock Law Office and the Academy courthouse.
Avengers Academy Defenders Recruitable Heroes
Players will have a chance to get Iron Fist, Daredevil, Hellcat, Elektra, Misty Knight, Punisher, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones. There will also be recruitable side characters such as Foggy Nelson, Claire Temple, Colleen Wing and Stick. What’s teased as being fun is that these side characters will have more interactions with characters outside of the series. Warner teases adventures and scenarios for Foggy and Captain America.
Old costumes as well as some new ones will also be made available including “Lawyer Loki”, which Warner says is his favorite because nobody really knew that Loki had a gift for lawyering AND a fondness for the profession.
New unlockable costumes
Unlocking costumes can be fun in TinyCo’s mobile game (if they aren’t too pushy with buying it or crating it) and for the Avengers Academy Defenders event there will be new costumes for characters like Hulk, Punisher, Elektra, Iron Fist, and Misty Knight.
Another school
Warner ends the interview by teasing that another school will show up within the Defenders event and he ain’t telling which school it could be. However its pretty obvious that it’ll be the Inhumans that would make an appearance as the ho-hum series will premiere late September.
